What I'm Reading: 3/14/2018

I've had very little time to read lately but since I'm really trying to focus on getting the most out of my garden this year, I decided to pick up this oldie but goodie and go back to the basics for a refresher course.

Gardening 101, The Best of Martha Stewart Living is a good book for doing just that.

We are in the midst of some really cold weather again but it'll be gone before much longer and I'll be able to get back outside and back to my gardening.

Hopefully, by the time I can get back outside I'll have gotten through this book!

  1. I am finishing up "On The Banks of Plum Creek" with my nephew. A couple of times, we read Berenstain Bear books instead.

I just finished reading "Oliver Twist" out loud to my daughter and niece that I homeschool. That was a mouthful. Now, we have moved on to "The Count of Monte Cristo." I read, we discuss, and they write responses and other papers. Since they are both dyslexic, that method works best for them and I enjoy reading.

I've been reading the current issue of "Taste of Home" and a couple of other cooking magazines. I caught some bug, so whatever library book I read yesterday went in my mind and right out again. I just couldn't concentrate. Now that I'm a little better, I think I'll read a Grace Livingston Hill book that I own--I'm not sure which one. I own several.

    1. Becky, I'm glad you're feeling better. I love Grace Livingston Hill books and have several as well. Okay, I have more than several! One of my daughters blessed me with several Grace Livingston Hill books she collected for me over a span of time. It was my Christmas gift one year! To say that I was pleased is an understatement!!! I hope you continue to feel better.
