Gift Trunk Additions

This winter I have been steadedly working on items to add to my gift trunk and over the past couple of weeks I've been able to bring a few of those projects to completion.  Want to see?  Good, because I want to show you ... 0:)

This is the blanket/afghan I've been working on all winter. It measures 52 inches x 55 inches.  I crocheted it using this Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and a size P hook.  The stitch is row after row of half-double crochet with  the edge being chain stitching crocheted into loops.  It was very easy and went fairly quickly.

And the smaller blanket beside it  ... well, that is a doll blanket!  It is crocheted out of this Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and measures 26 inches x 26 inches. I used a double crochet stitch to make it with the same style of loops only I placed them a bit closer together to give it a ruffled look.  I know some little girl's who's dolls are going to enjoy their new blankets!

Here's another view.  There is a possiblity that I might gift this blanket/afghan and this doll blanket to one little girl.  You know, a blanket for her and a blanket for her doll. Not sure yet, but that is a possiblity!

This is a doll quilt that I made and machine quilted. It measures 26 inches x 26 inches too. One side is ponies and the other is little butterflies. The edging is jumbo rickrack.  I'm thinking a quilt for another little girl and one for her doll as well, what do you think?

What have you added to your gift trunk lately? Have your hands been busy, too?
